Hello Fish Fans, The conditions have been changin day to day and so has the fishin, most days have been sunny but the wind and seas are up and down, some days the Sailfish are goin nuts the next day Im goin nuts tryin to fiqure out why theyre not biting, the good days are still producing 6 to 8 hookups but the slow days are only producing 2 or 3 hookups. The Gulfstream has moved closer to shore so theres some reely big Blackfin Tuna on the Islamorada Humps and theres Dolphin {mahi-mahi} being caught on weedlines and current edges offshore. The bottom fishin for Grouper and Mutton Snapper has been excellent when the conditions are favorable. The Wahoo have started showin up over the last few days, today Captain John Bielat who also runs the Sea Island Lady caught a 40 pounder. The Reel Busy fished in 2 tournaments since my last report, we didnt win the big bucks but we did finish 10th place in one and tied for 3rd in the other, well getem next time. The Giant Tarpon will be gathering in Islamorada during April, May and June, if you want to catch one of these monsters you need to reserve your days as soon as possible. Its a great time to book a couple of days, one day to catch Giant Tarpon and one day to catch Dolphin and Tuna, youll have a great time fishin in Islamorada. Over the next six weeks well be mixin it up catchin Sailfish, Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, and Grouper. Ill be back in about 10 days with another fishin report from Islamorada, Sportfishin Capital of the World. Catch You Later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters Lets Go Fishin ! 305-304-9049
