We have had some pretty good weather this past month. The variety of fish we've been catchinghas been unbelievable. The format of todays update is being done a little different to catch you all up today on what has been happining down here in Marathon. I hope it's OK, and I'll try and do better with doing my weekly reports. What with fishing everyday, and still dealing with Colton passing away, I tend to space off a few things. So please be patient with me, and hopefully things will keep getting a little better day by day.

04/07/05- Comedy Fishing "Well, we were fishing out in the bay, when one guy hooked a cobia. As he was bringing it to the boat, another guy went to set his rod in the rodholder with his bait hanging just barely in the water. Just as he was putting it in the holder, a big cobia grabbed his bait and ripped the rod out of his hand. As the pole headed for the weater, I just reacted by jumping off the boat and I got the rod just as it was going under. I came up, handed the pole up to the guys, and they pulled me back in. The guy who still had the big cobia on wasn't paying attention, and the fish went around the anchor line and busted off. So at least I saved the rod, but I soaked my wallet and ruined my phone. I wish we would've gotten the fish though, it was a huge cobia. Two half days keep ya busy, that's for sure."
