Bay Fishing Clearing Up..... September 11 2005
9-10-05 Well, this past few weeks we've had some interesting and exciting fishing. Last week we had a great run of nice sized dolphin offshore. We even caught some big dolphin right on the reef while fishing for snapper! The weather has definitely thrown some of the fish into some strange patterns. This week I had one day offshore, and the dolphin weren't to be found. The blackfin tuna were biting great though, along with a nice scrappy 150-200lb. blue marlin. It put up a great fight and put on a good show to say the least. In the bay the goliath grouper fishing(jewfish) has been red hot. we did a 3/4 day earlier this week, and went 22 for 28 on jewfish. The largest one was around 150lbs. There's still been some good cobia in the bay, with lots of permit to keep ya busy. Yesterday we caught some nice redfish that are now resting comfortably in Mike and Judd's freezers. So we're still just catching a little bit of everything depending on what people want to catch.
