Today I fished Brian G from NJ. We were in search of tarpon! We caught live mullet, and pilchards for our bait. On the first drift Brian caught a 3lb mangrove snapper, a 10lb jack cravell, and had several tarpon coming half way out of the water trying to eat the mullet. Each tarpon tried 3 or 4 times to catch the mullet but missed. On our next drift Brian hooked something big that gave him a great fight. Brian won, and landed a 14lb mangrove snapper. Then he hooked a big tarpon. The tarpon went deep and got his line caught in the sea fans and got off. He hooked another tarpon, and it also got off. We never got one to the boat, but had lots of action and a great time!
