Today I fished with Eric & Paul from the Palm Beach area. They get to fish for sailfish, & dolphin at home, so they wanted to try the backcountry. We went looking for snapper, cobia, etc. The water was still muddy from the strong North winds we just had, and also had dropped 5 deg. We tried spot after spot, and could only get small fish to eat. Finally we ran to the Atlantic to try for some action. We had live ballyhoo, pilchards, blue runners, and pinfish. No action there either. It was the worst day I’ve had in years! Unfortunately that happens every now and then. We had a load of live bait, and tried our hearts out. Just one of those days. Sorry guys, we’ll get’em next time.
