I fished 2 couples today, one from Texas, and one from Mississippi. We were in search of the Silver King (tarpon). The first fish caught was a nurse shark around 50 LB. Then we caught a 5 LB mangrove snapper, a small black grouper, and a jack cravell. Next we jumped a tarpon around 80 LB that spit the hook. A few min later a 100 LB tarpon crashed on a live mullet. We fought him for 20 min, then the angler held the spool to try and stop the fish from running and broke the line. We missed 4 more tarpon before finally hooking one. It was a nice fish about 100 LB. He gave us a great show, jumping over and over. After a 40 min fight he came to the boat and was released. Then we hooked another one about 75 LB and caught him in 20 min. It too was a jumper, heck of a show! My tarpon trips are all done near shore in calm water. The tarpon are here, and there is lots of action. If you have never hooked one, and seen it jump, your missing a thrill of a life time. Call and book a trip and Ill show you a great time, and some great fishing! Call (305)797-3116. Thank you, Captain Stan Miles
