Today the wind was blowing 20 to 25, and gusting. So I ran down to the Marquesas and fished in a channel that was protected from the wind. The first bait in the water produced a nice lane snapper. So did the next, and next, and so on. Then we caught a blue runner. I put it on the bottom on a wire leader to try and catch a shark. Ten min later the reel started screaming, and we were hooked up. After a 20 min fight we saw the fish, it was a 6 Ft bull shark. The snapper bite was hot. We were bringing 2 and 3 in at a time. Instead of cancelling the trip because of wind, we had a great time and ended up with a cooler full of snappers.
