Hello Fish Fans, Over the last 10 days weve seen lots of rain, wind from all diredtions creating sloppy seas at times, and on again off again Dolphin fishin. Nows the Time to visit Islamorada,Sportfishing Capital of the World, and take advantage of what I believe could be the best Dolphin fishin of the year, and heres why. As the recent storms pass through the carribean and the Keys, the winds and waves push all kind of debris into the water which ends up on current edges in the Gulfstream along with sargasso weed, this creates a food chain from small fry to gamefish. The forcast through this week is for sunny skies, mild southeast breezes and calm seas, this will bring the weed and debris together sometimes forming huge patches along the current edges. Last but not least, over the next 2 weeks the dark of the moon will make it difficult for the Dolphin to feed at night, this makes them come up to the surface and they feed very aggressively during daylight hours. Ill let you know how we did in the next report or better yet give me a call and lets go catchem ! The late afternoon Tuna fishin has been great, were catchin between 10 and 20 on every trip, most of them weighing 6 to 10 pounds and a few at 15 to 20 pounds, this is a great trip for those who only want a half day trip with lots of action. Theres a few Wahoo being caught, mostly while trolling for home after a day of Dolphin fishin, we lost one a week ago that had to be 40 or 50 pounds, he was screamin the line off the reel,I love that sound. On the reefs edge theres a little bit of everything being caught, small Kingfish,a few Sailfish, Various Snapper and Grouper. Whether your lookin to bottomfish for Mutton Snapper and Grouper on the reefs edge or lookin to fish the deep blue waters of the Gulfstream for Mahi-Mahi and Tuna, the conditions are perfect for a great day fishin in Islamorada, give us a call 305-304-9049. Ill be back in about 10 days with another fishin report from Islamorada, Sportfishing Capital of the World. Catch You Later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
