Hello Fish Fans, This September Ill never forget, I havent been fishin yet. Hurricane Frances took out the first week, Hurricane Ivan took out the second week and it looks like the wind and rain from Ivan will continue until the 16th or 17th. Although weve been lucky, 3 hurricanes in 6 weeks and no damage to the Florida Keys, all near misses, its hard to feel lucky when you cant go fishin, I Just Wanna Go Fishin ! Its a great time for Dolphin fishin {mahi-mahi], the smaller fish that traveled north in the gulfstream waters 2 months ago are headin back south 3 to 5 pounds bigger, the Blackfin Tuna at the Islamorada Humps are gettin nice and fat, some up to 25 pounds and if that wasnt enough the Sailfish are startin to pop up on the reefs edge and on bait balls that will continue to pass through over the next few months. The Reel Busy specializes in catchin Sailfish and if you wanna catch a Sailfish nows the time to reserve those Dec.Jan.Feb. dates, prime time for Sailfishin will be the 2 weeks surrounding Dec.12th, Jan.10th, and Feb.8th,{new moon}.I fell in love with Sailfishin about 20 years ago and you will too, they put on an awesome show, flippin, jumpin and tail-walkin. Well be catchin Sailfish October through March with peak season startin in Nov./Dec. Over 90 percent of the Sailfishin trips on the Reel Busy are sucessfull year after year, meaning at least 1 or 2 Sailfish were caught and released on almost every full day charter. Although theres no gaurantee youll catch a Sailfish, chances are you will with Captain Wayne and the Reel Busy workin for you. Ill be back in about 10 days with hopefully a fishin report from Islamorada, Sportfishin Capital of the World. Catch You Later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
