Let’s Go Fishin !
September 16 2004
Hello Fishfans, The only hurricane left around here is the Miami Hurricanes Football Team, the weather is great, the seas are calm and the Dolphin and Tuna are still goin strong. This is a great time to visit Islamorada, the off-season hotel rates save you money and there’s plenty of fish to pull your string, Let’s Go Fishin ! The Islamorada Humps are loaded with nice size Blackfin Tuna, the best bite is still late afternoon but the early mornin bite has been excellent as well, from 10am to 2pm the Tuna go on break, avoiding the bright mid-day sun. The Dolphin fishin offshore is excellent, most of the schooley dolphin are 5 to 10 pounds with 15 to 25 pounders in almost every school. We tried to do some Grouper fishin the other day but the Sharks shut us down, I couldn’t believe it, we caught a few undersized cobia but never got a Grouper or Mutton Snapper to the boat. The Kingfish are showin up on the reef and the Sailfish will be right behind them, we’ll spend some time Sailfishin next week and I’ll let you know how it goes. We’ll be back in about 10 days with another fishin report from Islamorada, Sportfishin Capital of the World. Catch You Later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
