Hello Fish Fans, The conditions have been changin day to day over the last week or so, when the North winds are blowin the Sailfish have been showin up, most of them are small and its not red hot yet but it will continue to improve with every cool front that passes through. When the East to Southeast breezes are blowin the Dolphin fishin has been good with alot of fish between 5 and 15 pounds just 5 to 10 miles offshore. Up until this weekend the Blackfin Tuna on the Islamorada Humps have been reel small, 1 to 3 pounds, the mornin bite has been good but almost everytime you get a Tuna over 8 to 10 pounds the Sharks leave you with nothin but a head. This weekend the Tuna fishin in the afternoon was excellent, we caught a dozen or so between 10 and 15 pounds, one about 20 pounds and released another 15 or so that were under 5 pounds. It was great to see big Blackfin Tuna again, we havent seen many big ones over the last 2 to 3 weeks but the current on the Islamorada Humps is smokin and that means lots of action in the afternoon and Tuna steaks on the grill for dinner. The Sharks continue to be a problem when weve been bottom fishin for Mutton Snapper and Black Grouper in some of my favorite spots, the fish are there but some days you just cant catchem, it drives me crazy to see the fish on the bottom machine and not be able to get them to the fishbox, but this too will change. Ill be back in about 10 days with another fishin report from Islamorada, Sportfishin Capital of the World, well be catchin Sailfish, Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, Kingfish, and with a little bit of luck Mutton Snapper and Black Grouper. Catch You Later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
