Gotta Get More Current !
November 30 2004
Hello Fish Fans, The fishin off Islamorada was great, Sailfishin was gettin better and better, Mahi-Mahi were everywhere, it seemed like we could catch anything we wanted anytime we wanted until Saturday November 27th. The weather got too nice for fishin, flat seas, reely light breezes and worst of all no current. We traveled over 25 miles offshore lookin for a current edge and still found no current, we hooked up a few Mahi-Mahi after hours of searchin all over the ocean, we decided to end the day catchin Blackfin Tuna on the Islamorada Humps, the bite was slow and the Tuna were small but then we got lucky, the line started screamin off the reel, 20 minutes later we boated a 37 pound Wahoo on a Tuna Lure with a mono leader, I would of bet it was heavier but an I.G.F.A. scale is hard to argue with, never the less that fish made the day and it was Wahoo Steaks for dinner. We gotta get more current and as soon as we do the fishin will light up once again, the wind is picken up a little and so will the current. I’ll be back in about 10 days with another fishin report from Islamorada, Sportfishin Capital of the World, the Sailfish Tournaments are startin up and I’ll let you know how we did in the next report.
